What does being whole mean to you?

This hit me like a ton of bricks, truly.

I went to an incredible yoga class today where I live in Melvern Square, Nova Scotia. Stepping outside I was met with a glorious white snowfall. Everything was sparkling, and it looked breathtaking.

The sun was finally shining. It's been weeks since we have seen it now. This is January, this is hermit mode, and a time of year I have learned to love deeply.

Without taking off my coat, I asked if my husband would like to head out to one of our fav coffee places - the Bee's Knees in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia. There, we ran into a great couple that are quickly becoming friends with. Don't you love when that happens?

On our way home I stopped at our local Mystic Shop Fate and Fang in Middleton, Nova Scotia. Upon entering the store I was drawn to the back of the shop. I picked up two beautiful pieces for my new alter, a set of two crows, one a votive candle holder, the other an incense burner they are featured in this video below.

I returned home eager to continue decluttering my studio. But standing there, staring at the remaining piles, I felt a deep resistance creeping in. No matter how big the desire to finish this huge project, my energy was just not in alignment with the task at hand. Instead of forcing it, I decided to take a break, went downstairs and made myself a steaming cup of chaga chai tea.

For some strange reason, no matter what tactic I tried, I just could not get into the swing of it all. Frustrated I took a break, went downstairs and got some Chaga Chai tea. (one of my fav's). Upstairs, I decided the best plan of attack if my brain is switching into left brain mode I might as well go with it. Feeling yourself being spirit-led in action is one of the most powerful things out there and I recommend you embrace it often. The flow state you will find yourself in is magical. The ease of flow and energy simply makes things easier to do.

I decided to set up a new altar. I just. dismantled my recent Winter Solstice one. This newest alter will continue to remind me to stay focused, to come back to my body and to remain in the flow I am being led to. This Year Of The Snake and what we are being offered is a chance to shed, a thorough and uplifting shed that will allow us to open up to the changes we want to make.

I'd love for you to join me for a special New Moon Ceremony happening on February 27!

We'll gather in my private community to set our intentions here to join and to receive our special New Moon Journal for this event, it will be sent out one week before so you can be fully prepared for the ceremony.

Being Whole.

To be completely honest and transparent with you I believe being whole is a feeling more than a concept. To me being whole is a warm, cozy, safe feeling in the middle of your body. It is the freedom to move your body in any way you choose. It is being entirely immersed in the moment, in tune with your body and what it is guiding you to. my dear friends your body will never steer you wrong.

Being whole also means mental acceptance of where you are, what you are doing, and knowing you are doing your best to show up in a kind and loving way.

Okay before you throw something at me, hear me out. I know we all have bad days, bad moods, and difficult moments. But when we are aware of our triggers and emotions, we can reflect and remember times when we have felt whole. That awareness alone is power.

Being whole is showing up fully and completely for yourself in every moment. That my sweet soul is what being whole means to me.

As we move more fully into this New Year ( I am writing this on the New Year of The Wooden Snake and first new moon of 2025 ). My hope and prayer for you is that peace envelopes you and joy surrounds you. That when those difficult times come you are able to maintain your peace by allowing yourself to put your own self care and love first this year. It is more important than ever that we keep ourselves full to be able to give from a full tank.
